Every year DELS arranges and participates in several literary events.

At Skansen (public place in Stockholm) DELS arranges about six different literary salons in spring and the same in autumn, where the member societies are invited – one at each occasion - to present their author and to show a suitable program containing recitations, theatre, song and music. These events have through the years become very popular.
DELS also arranges a similar event with the title ”Society life at sea”. It takes place as a 24hours return cruise between Stockholm and Åbo in Finland. As in the literary events at Skansen the member societies are invited at their own cost to present their programs. These cruising events, which are open to the public, have become very popular.
An important part of the activities of DELS is the yearly participation in the Literature- and Library Exhibition in Gothenburg. Here DELS has an exhibition counter where to inform about DELS and sell the magazine Parnass and other publications. DELS is also conducting a stage in the centre of the Classical Book Department where the member societies can deliver a half-hour speech about its author and his/her work. About 60 different presentations and performances are delivered during the days of the exhibition, all positively received by the public.
